Tamim Momeni, Counsel

Tamim Momeni is a Counsel at BLK Partners based in Dubai.

Tamim specializes in complex and high-value commercial litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. His expertise covers a wide array of industries including construction, energy, mining, intellectual property, and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT). He is renowned for his adept handling of high-profile, cross-border investigations involving financial misconduct, such as bribery, corruption, money laundering, and fraud.

Tamim has extensive experience managing high-profile legal matters globally, with a focus on the Middle East. He has worked at leading US and UK firms in major financial hubs and has lived in London, Dubai, Doha, and Frankfurt. His practice spans dispute resolution across the Middle East, Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, bringing a broad international perspective to his work.

Tamim’s practice involves handling litigations in various prominent courts, such as the English Courts, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC Courts), Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts (ADGM Courts), and the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC). He is well-versed in arbitrations under institutional rules including those of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), and Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA). Additionally, he manages ad-hoc arbitrations under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Arbitration Rules. His expertise includes jurisdictional challenges, choice of law issues, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
 

In addition to his litigation and arbitration practice, Tamim has advised on legal matters related to Afghanistan and has played a key role in the reform and development of the country’s commercial laws and arbitration regime. Furthermore, he is a recognized commentator in the legal field, with notable contributions to various publications.

Tamim is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and holds a BA (Hons) in Law and Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), an LL.M from BPP University in London, and a PGDip in Intellectual Property Law & Practice from the University of Oxford.
