Jackson Dixon Best is a Counsel at BLK Partners, based in Dubai.
Jackson specialises in international arbitration, with a particular focus on construction and engineering disputes, as well as proceedings before the DIFC and ADGM Courts. He has acted in complex, high-value construction and engineering disputes across the Middle East, representing clients in international arbitrations under major institutional rules and in ad-hoc proceedings across jurisdictions governed by both civil and common law systems. He has experience across a wide range of dispute resolution mechanisms, including arbitration, litigation, expert determination, and adjudication.
Jackson’s experience covers mandates involving government entities, employers, contractors, and international stakeholders across the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. He regularly advises on contractual claims, project variations, and complex engineering disputes, including under FIDIC and other standard-form contracts.
Jackson holds an LL.B. with Honours from Griffith University (Gold Coast, Australia) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University (Canberra, Australia). He is admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and is fluent in English, with intermediate proficiency in French.
